Pandit Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing & Visual Arts, Rohtak, Haryana (a State Govt University) offers niche courses in creative areas related to Design, Fims and Television, Fine Arts and has extended the last date of application by 2 weeks.

Key dates

Last date of application : Extended upto 20 Aug 2020 (earlier closure date was 7 Aug 2020)

Declaration of First / subsequent selection list : New date to be announced in due course. Earlier, the first list was planned to be released on 13 Aug 2020.

Selection criteria : Selection will be based on the basis of merit determined by marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

a) Bachelor of Design with 4 areas of specialization :

Fashion Design : 25 seats

Fashion and Lifestyle Design : 20 seats

Product Design : 20 seats

Textile Design : 20 seats

b) Bachelor of Fine Arts in following 5 areas :

Acting : 15 seats

Direction : 15 seats

Cinematography : 15 seats

Editing : 15 seats

Audiography : 15 seats

c) Bachelor of Visual Arts in 4 disciplines

Applied Arts : 25 seats

Animation & Multimedia : 15 seats

Painting : 25 seats

Sculpture : 10 seats

Distribution and Reservation of seats

a) All India Open Category seats (including Haryana state) : 50%

b) State quota : 50%

About the University : Pandit Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing & Visual Arts, Rohtak, came into existence on August 5, 2014 by integrating four government technical institutions, namely :

- State Institute of Fine Arts (SIFA)

- State Institute of Design (SID)

- State Institute of Film & Television (SIFT) and

- State Institute of Urban Planning & Architecture (SIUPA)

Presently, there are four faculties in which 14 undergraduate degree level programmes are being offered; four in the Faculty of Fine Arts, four in the Faculty of Design, five in the Faculty of Film & Television and one in Faculty of Urban Planning & Architecture. Besides, Post-Graduate programmes had been started in each faculty since the last academic session (2019-2020). Admission to B.Arch is done by HSTES based on merit prepared by taking 50:50 weightage of NATA score and 10+2 marks.
